!±8± One Mom's Review of the Baby Trend Stroller Line

If budget is among top concern in your stroller shopping experience, then the Baby Trend Stroller line has a few options for you to keep in mind. Baby Trend offers a variety of strollers to meet the varying need of parents and children, and even though Baby Trend might not be my favorite brand, they do have a few good options available and at a relatively low price point.

The top of my list is the Baby Trend Snap-N-Go stroller. This is a great starter stroller for getting baby around when they still fit an infant car seat. Unlike the Graco Snugride Infant car seat frame stroller, Baby Trends model can be used with a variety of different brand car seats, so you're not tied down to using just the Graco car seat. If you're going to be using a Graco Car seat, the snap n go will still work, but if you find you hate your Graco car seat for whatever reason (or it becomes damaged or expired), you still have the option of using your snap n go stroller with a future child (or children) even if you change car seats. The Baby Trend snap n go comes in a single as well as double if you're expecting twins. It's a nice lightweight, compact and easy to use stroller that allows you to see exactly what your stroller needs are prior to investing in your next stroller. Plus, by the time you're ready to make the next purchase, your baby will be old enough to sit up and you'll have more options to choose from.

I can also recommend the Sit-N-Stand Plus, Sit N Stand Double, or the newly named Tag-a-long strollers by baby trend. I've already written reviews on these strollers, so I'll simply say that toting more than one child along without spending too much money on a stroller is quite doable with one of these strollers.

I'll conclude by saying please stay away from the Sport Stroller or any other travel system for that matter. It's not an entirely awful stroller, but the travel system line of strollers are bulky and just all around not that great. I also do not recommend the Triple Stroller. You do not want to be pushing the weight of 3 children in an entry level stroller that's front to back and extremely difficult to maneuver. If you really want a travel system, look in to the Expedition Travel System stroller or the Graco Metrolite. The Metrolite folds fairly compact and is rather lightweight for a travel system stroller. It maneuvers pretty well too and has a huge basket underneath for storage. The Baby Trend jogging strollers are car seat compatible and offer large air filled tires and a lockable front swivel wheel to help you push and maneuver through a wider variety of places and terrain. What can I say; I like 3-wheel strollers and air-filled tires even if I'm not a huge fan of the Baby Trend Stroller line. Hopefully this honest review can help some folks out there trying to wade their way through the endless options of baby strollers.

Congratulations on your increasing family. Triplets or Quads take a very special stroller. There are several triple strollers or quadruple strollers to choose from.

Triple strollers are easily available. They tend to come in the tandem seat configuration with one child traveling directly behind the next. They look sort of like a group of kids playing train. Of course these strollers are more expensive than the one or two seat variety and fewer stores carry them without a special order. Don't despair, parents looking for a quadruple stroller are the ones who will have a tough time finding a stroller to carry all four of their darlings.

Patents give the triple strollers high marks in maneuverability and the ability to fold easily and compactly. They also rave about the triple strollers' durability. They do recommend that the children be rotated and allowed to sit in each seat sometimes to vary their view. And, they do caution to consider the amount of storage space available on each model. Three children require a huge amount of stuff. Ideally the storage area should be under the seats to maintain the stroller's balance and stability. Some triple strollers have side storage as well, just make sure that each side is loaded with nearly equal weight to keep it from tipping.

Quad strollers apparently only come with two rows of side-by-side children. They are huge. As a matter of fact, parents complain that these behemoths do not fit through a normal sized house door and take up the entire storage space in a mini van. There does not seem to be much choice, though, as four kids are four kids.

Day care and preschools rave over the quadruple strollers they use saying that they are wonderful for taking many children on field trips. But, parents say they have trouble pushing the quad strollers, even on flat hard surfaces.

Not many manufacturers make the triple strollers and fewer still make the quadruple strollers, so there is not much shopping around a parent can do. You probably will not have a choice of color, for instance. Also, because of the tandem seating triple and quad strollers usually do not have as many reclining positions as do the single strollers.

However, there are a few important things to consider, with both the triple stroller and the quadruple stroller. The wheel and frame strength are crucial. With three or four children traveling together a major malfunction, such as loosing a wheel, can really ruin your outing. Also check the brakes. Are they substantial? Are they easy to activate? Are they easy to release? These are important questions when working with multiple children.

The storage space, while essential is not crucial. With multiples, one might think that there would not be that much more stuff than with a single child. The stuff does not triple, it increases exponentially. A triple stroller should have ample space for all of everyone's stuff, including Mom's. Some parents with only three children opt for a quad stroller just to have enough space to carry everything the tykes need.

Congratulations on your increasing family. Just remember that you will not have as many choices in triple and quad strollers as will your friends with only one or two children. But, you will have some choice, just make sure the triple stroller or quadruple stroller you choose is sturdy and safe.

1. There are two main configurations for a triplets stroller - side-by-side and in line. A side-by-side stroller makes it easy for you to get the kids in and out, and they get to see what is in front of them when you are walking. The downside of that is you do not get to see them, and the width of the stroller can be too wide to get through most doors. Even if you have assistance from someone else, you still might have trouble maneuvering this type of stroller indoors. An in line stroller is sometimes easier, but the children do not all get a good view, and getting them in and out of their seats can be tougher.

2. You may want a triplets stroller that is made for walking or shopping, or one that is specifically built for jogging. A jogging triplets stroller usually has heavier tires and even shock absorbers, so that your kids have a smoother ride. They usually do not have as much storage room as a traditional stroller, but they maneuver very easily.

3. You will find strollers with brakes on the back wheels or brakes on all wheels, and if you can afford it, you should get one that has a full set of brakes. This will give you a lot of comfort as the children start to get a little bigger and more rambunctious.
